Body-aware, experience-led practice with Sibel Tuzun.
Voice coaching for adults who wish to speak, sing and communicate with greater clarity, steadiness and personal ease.
Voice is shaped not only by technique, but by how we breathe, how we inhabit the body and how we relate to our surroundings.
Over time, many people notice that their voice reflects changes in workload, emotional state, health, confidence and life experience.
This work supports a more integrated relationship with the voice, where expression, physical coordination and self-perception can gradually become more aligned.
For some, the voice becomes effortful during periods of stress or increased responsibility.
Others notice changes linked to hormonal transitions, recovery from illness, or long-term patterns of tension in the body.
Voice may feel less stable, less expressive or less reliable in situations that once felt familiar.
Rather than focusing only on sound, sessions explore how breath, posture, perception and communication habits interact in everyday life.
Participants often begin by recognising subtle shifts:
how the body responds while speaking, how breathing changes under pressure, or how expression is shaped by internal states.
Sibel Tuzun is an internationally recognised singer and songwriter whose work as a voice professional is informed by extensive performance experience and long-term engagement with body-based voice practices.
Her approach recognises that voice development is both a practical and personal process.
“I founded this Academy through repeated professional observation:
when physical support and internal awareness develop together, expression often becomes clearer and more sustainable.”
Adults from varied professional and personal backgrounds attend sessions, including:
• individuals seeking more ease and stability in daily communication
• singers and performers refining expressive coordination
• those noticing voice changes during menopause or later life
• professionals wishing to feel more grounded while presenting or leading
• people exploring voice in relation to identity and self-expression
• anyone curious about how voice reflects lived experience
Voice is approached as a dynamic aspect of human functioning, shaped by both physical organisation and personal context.
Sessions consider the interconnected nature of body, breath, perception and sound.
Work may involve:
• awareness of natural abdominal breathing
• gentle shifts in physical organisation and movement
• exploration of resonance, articulation and vocal onset
• developing steadier coordination between breath and voice
• recognising habitual patterns that influence expression
The intention is not to impose a fixed method, but to support conditions in which voice can function more freely and reliably.
The learning environment is structured yet unpressured, allowing each participant to work at an appropriate pace.
You will find:
• clear guidance grounded in lived professional experience
• attention to individual physical and expressive processes
• practical explorations rather than performance expectations
• continuity between session work and everyday voice use
Voice practice is understood as an evolving process of familiarity, coordination and self-trust.
In-person work takes place in Richmond, Twickenham and nearby areas of South West London.
Online sessions enable continued practice and guidance from other locations.
Voice responds to shifts in life roles, health, emotional context and professional demand.
This work supports adults in adapting to these changes with awareness and practical understanding.
Participants are guided to:
• recognise how breath and posture influence expression
• maintain physical organisation while communicating
• develop steadier vocal presence over time
• relate to voice as part of a broader lived experience

Many adults notice that their voice does not feel equally reliable in all situations.
Changes in workload, prolonged speaking or singing demands, stress patterns, health shifts or hormonal transitions can influence how the voice functions in communication and vocal expression.
At Sibel Tuzun Voice Academy London, voice concerns are explored within the context of real voice use.
Sessions focus on developing clearer coordination, more consistent breath involvement and increased understanding of how the voice responds in speaking, presenting, rehearsing and performing situations.
You may notice:
• the voice becoming tired after teaching, presenting, rehearsing or extended speaking
• vocal roughness or reduced clarity later in the day
• running out of breath while speaking or singing
• increased throat effort when trying to project
• reduced vocal stamina in demanding professional or performance contexts
Work explores how breathing patterns influence vocal organisation during real communication and singing, supporting more sustainable voice use and reduced fatigue over time.
You might experience:
• reduced pitch range or difficulty accessing certain speaking or singing notes
• a voice that feels flat, quiet or less expressive
• vocal breaks or instability when changing pitch
• difficulty being heard or sustaining sound without additional effort
Sessions examine how resonance distribution, articulation and breath coordination shape vocal quality, expressive range and vocal presence.
Common observations include:
• tightness in the jaw, tongue, throat or neck while speaking or singing
• a sense of the voice feeling pressed, effortful or restricted
• postural habits affecting breathing or sound projection
• increased vocal effort in stressful or high-pressure situations
Through guided somatic attention, participants learn to recognise and gradually reorganise physical influences on voice use.
You may be noticing:
• changes in vocal stamina, tone or stability during menopause
• shifts in vocal reliability linked to ageing or hormonal transitions
• evolving relationships with voice linked to identity and self-expression
• interest in gender-affirming voice work within a respectful learning context
Sessions support informed adaptation to change, helping individuals develop familiarity and confidence in how their voice functions across different stages of life.
You might observe:
• vocal tightening or loss of steadiness during presentations, meetings or performances
• speaking faster or with reduced breath support under pressure
• difficulty maintaining a grounded physical presence while communicating
• uncertainty about vocal impact in professional environments
Work integrates breath coordination, physical organisation and communicative awareness to support clearer and more reliable voice use.
You may notice:
• increased vocal tension or instability when singing, performing or presenting
• changes in breathing patterns before or during public speaking
• voice shaking or becoming less reliable in high-stakes situations
• difficulty maintaining vocal coordination on stage or in auditions
Sessions explore how physiological arousal, breathing patterns and physical organisation influence voice use in performance and public contexts.
This may be relevant if you experience:
• increased vocal sensitivity following illness or inflammation
• fluctuating vocal capacity during periods of high speaking or singing demand
• voice fatigue related to teaching, caregiving, performing or leadership roles
Sessions support the development of sustainable voice habits, helping participants manage vocal load with greater awareness and consistency.
Voice use can change across professional demands, performance contexts and life stages.
With attentive practice and structured guidance, many adults find their voice becoming more dependable, expressive and workable in daily communication and vocal expression.
